Begin with a job for another player.
A business name and a nice building are a starting point. The useful question is what another player gets to do with you. A rental company can hire a driver. A venue can book a performer. A garage can repair a fleet. A creator can cover the opening.
Our GTA6LARP concept uses those relationships to build the city. The following examples are proposed roleplay situations, not live features or businesses for sale.
Rental company: the hotel opening.
A hotel needs transport for its first event. The rental owner checks the bookings, a mechanic prepares the fleet and drivers deliver the vehicles. A last-minute change gives the crew a problem to solve together.
Start with three roles: the customer, the operator and the person doing the delivery. Add a creator only if there is a story they would enjoy covering. The business should work as play before it works as content.
Club: make opening night happen.
The venue owner brings together a promoter, performer, security team and transport. Guests have different reasons to attend. The session can begin with preparations and finish with the event, giving everyone an understandable arc.
Give each participant a decision rather than a chore list. A promoter chooses how to introduce the night; a performer plans a set; the door team manages a fictional guest-list problem within the community’s rules.
Garage: become the place people return to.
Fleet maintenance creates repeat contact with rental owners and drivers. A workshop can host a showcase, help prepare cars for a fictional event and build relationships with regular customers.
A new player can begin as an assistant, detailer or driver. That creates a route into the business without requiring them to arrive as its owner.
Charter company: a crew with a plan.
A charter connects the marina, the host, transport and guests. A photographer or streamer can be part of the group. The session needs a departure, an activity and a return, so it has a clear ending.
The boat is the visible attraction. The people arranging the trip are what turn it into a multiplayer story.
Pitch your own version.
Write what the business does, which two other roles it depends on and one situation that could finish in a session. Include what you would enjoy playing yourself. Avoid promising scripts, assets or ownership that do not exist.
Prepare your introduction and discuss it in the GTA6LARP Discord. See the connected economy for the wider plan.
